Planetary Spirals -  Singer/Songwriter John Lee

New MP3 Downloads

I will be releasing two songs every two weeks from my seventh album 'Outside the Outsiders', free to download. It was recorded during the years 2017/18 and encompasses topics affecting many of us today, such as Brexit, climate change, the refugee crisis, isolation, loneliness and hopefully shines a dim light of hope in these demanding times. Thanks for listening and enjoy the music Peace:)

Nature

  • Feel the thoughtless wind blow
  • the angels of heaven gather around
  • in bird song of harmony
  • in the intuitive instinct of love
  • butterflies travel with wings of a kaleidoscope dream
  • bees travel from flower to flower way down stream
  • the spring arrives into the summer flowering meadow
  • the autumn catches the breeze
  • of the wintering red wing
  • the circle never stopes turning
  • the planet alive and one
  • to be connected
  • but feeling ejected
  • 93 million miles from the sun
  • so when you take a walk under the blanket of blue
  • remember everything alive is there for you
  • from the worm to the hive
  • to the tree and butterfly
  • it
  • it’s precious and forever flying free………..

Diary of Creativity 26

It’s been abit of a struggle in the last few months coming to terms with my mums death, playing guitar and writing songs has been a great help and may record and release two songs dedicated to her called ‘Waterfalls of Love’ and ‘Hurricane’ encapsulating the feelings I have at the moment, feeling lost and vulnerable to emotional currents through out my body. Its hard to accept , but realise I have the memories forever.

Requiem of Words – For Mum

  • The days are empty now
  • the sunset is fading away
  • the dawn chorus sings in harmony
  • of memories which will forever stay
  • I cannot find the words
  • or rhyme of which to say
  • that we’ll miss you forever
  • each and everyday
  • I pause to remember your presence
  • hope it never fades away
  • it seems the past is alive
  • in a quiet refrain
  • hope your at rest now
  • it was hard to watch you slip away
  • the sprit will now travel into the star filled endless space

Hello 2014

Hope everyone is keeping ok. If your reading this thankyou.Been a strange start to 2014 with my mum passing away on 11th january, it’s a great loss and my track memories is a tribute to her. It’s strange what tests confront you in life and love is the redeeming factor. My mum taught me to believe in love and stand by the discriminated and badly treated people. She instliied in me an empathy of other cultures from the native americans, to aboriginies to the palistine struggle, theres always a conscious struggle being fought, our mind is our own and nobody, NOBODY owns that.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Just like to wish everyone a happy christmas and a happy new year and thanks for checking out my music and website. It’s been a tough year for me personally with my mums struggle with cancer but life goes on, I wish for more happy memories. Also I give a thought to all the homeless people this xmas and all the refugees across Syria and worldwide. It’s a sad planet but theres always some hope, all we can do is share and leave a healthy planet for future generations. In the new year on 6th January I will be releasing a new track called memories, until then stay safe and enjoy life . Peace.

Hope and Strength

It’s been a tough few weeks, with my mum being ill with cancer and undergoing and operation, it puts things in perspective when you visit a cancer ward and inspires me how people find the strength and courage to fight such an awful disease. I’ve been writing several songs and processing my experiences over the last few months. Its hard to believe in god or any belief when you see such suffering, but I can understand how it helps some people. Hopely my mum will improve, just take it day by day and my thoughts are with anyone living with the illness.

Diary of Creativity 25

I’ve designed a cover for my next release Hegelian Dialectic, and will release the first track, Memories soon. Also been working on insrumentals, based around blues and rag time, may record some in the future. Constantly searching for new songs and just wait patiently for them to arrive, where they come from I just don’t know, that’s the interesting part. Also practicing several covers, such as Sirens by Pearl Jam and Long May You Run by Neil Young, it’s good vocal practice and interesting to explore another artists creative space, which can be inspiring. Anyway, thanks for reading and listening to my music. Peace.

Thoughts and Reflections 2013

Recently Greenpeace protesters aboard their ship artic sunrise were detained in Russia on ludicrous charges of piracy following a peaceful protest against oil drilling in the Russian artic. They were making a stand against exploitation of the artic, where companies such as Gazprom want to drill for oil, which is at the same time warming our world. What does this mean in the 21st century, what about future generations, will the act of protest be banned altogether.
